Chris Moore is a postdoctoral Fellow at Deakin University. He has published on the appropriative and creative  practices of gamer sub-cultures that address the issues of technological obsolescence and electronic waste (e-waste) (2009). His current focus is an ethnography of Australian gamers that builds on previous research on the intellectual property regimes of the Open Source software and the Creative Commons movements and digital games modifications or 'mods' (2005). He is currently co-editing with Ruth Walker a special issue of the International Journal of Educational Integrity (December 2010).
