Dr Georgia Warren-Myers is currently a lecturer at Deakin University in Property and Real Estate. She teaches across property valuation, property and urban economics, development, sustainability and market analysis. Georgia was awarded her doctorate from the University of Melbourne in 2010 which investigated 'The relationship between sustainability and market value: the consequences for valuation practice in commercial property'. She is a certified practising valuer (AAPI) and has worked as a valuer for Jones Lang LaSalle in Australia and New Zealand. She also has her own consulting business focusing on research and advisory in property and sustainability.
Georgia has been involved in sustainability in the property market for over 6 years and continues to investigate the relationship between sustainability and value both academically and professionally. Georgia in her role as National Sustainability Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle New Zealand was involved heavily with the New Zealand Green Building Council and the development of Green Star NZ rating tool for commercial property. She continues engage in professional development and aid in the education of industry stakeholders in sustainability and the local and regional rating systems.
