About
My research interests are the policies that stimulate, restrict and guide the kinds of cultural forms that are produced, and how they are disseminated and consumed.
This research has included the production of Indigenous performing arts and film in Australia, public art programs for children and young people internationally, and the intrinsic qualities of the experience of the audience at a live arts event. I also has an ongoing interest in copyright law and its impact on cultural production. Most recently, I am interested in examining local government cultural policies, and plan two papers on case studies of local government policies for submission in 2012.
